The National Poetry Slam is an annual event in which teams of spoken-word artists perform original work before an audience and the five randomly selected judges from that audience. It is a nationwide contest pooling the best talent from earlier slams. The unbridled energy and performances during the competitions are raw, unexpected and fierce. The identity is an elemental creative exploration of what it means to say something that needs to be heard. The logo was used on all supporting materials surrounding the weeklong event.
