Description

This is the opener for a six-page feature on practical joker Richie Sexton of the Milwaukee Brewers. When we shot the athlete, we already had him out of his normal context, with words such as “silly,” “goofy” and “ridiculous” rising from the editing session.

Thinking this was something special, we felt we should add another layer of “craziness” to the layout, so we commissioned the illustration group Insect to add their personality to the mix. What ensued is this highly energetic layout that adds attitude, originality and humor to ESPN’s pages.
