Description

The Women’s Support and Community Services donor wall commemorates the successful completion of the organization’s capital campaign. This permanent installation displays multiple donors at various giving levels and symbolizes the qualities that the organization represents: safety, community, comfort and warmth. These qualities were articulated via a patchwork quilt measuring 6 feet, 6 inches square and suspended at the building’s facade. Stainless steel forms the grid, or “stitching.” Bronze plaques with eight different patinas and various stainless steel mesh patterns form the “patchwork” fabric. The donor names are engraved into the bronze pieces and each patina color designates a donation level.
