Description

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the New York Film Festival of Lincoln Center and promote its sponsor Grand Marnier, we measured the festival’s impact: 1 city, 57 countries, 2,150 stories, 40 years. Sequences are treated like filmic scenes, with different styles and sounds resulting in a miniature movie. To multiply the effect of counting, animation speed and the screen’s subdivisions double every two seconds. The typeface is a mass™ product. The 30-second animation economically doubled as a television spot and festival trailer. One hell of an opening sequence, my dear fellow designers.
