Description

The 2002 Video Music Awards book is a thought-provoking and entertaining image piece for celebrities and entertainment power players. The theme for the 2002 VMA’s was worship. We wanted to explore the unique relationship some fans have with the celebrities they admire and perhaps even worship. We hired photographer Dewey Nicks to travel across the country to find the ultimate fans and tribute artists to show how some people can blur the line between fame and fanaticism, asking the ultimate question: Do 30 Kiss bands make you smile more than one?
