We were able to produce this 308-page case-bound book within a tight budget. Of ten forms, only four printed in four-color process; the rest printed in one or two colors. The colored offset sheets, which create a striped pattern along the edges of the book, used contrasting ink colors and halftones. We separated the imagery, which features the extraordinary artwork of MICA students and photography showing student life at MICA, from the copy, which captures the voices of the MICA community. A thumbnail system to help the reader navigate is featured both on the dust jacket and throughout the art sections.
The book has exceeded all expectations: MICA increased its freshman class by 27 percent this year, enrolling 62 percent of its top scholarship winners.
