Description

Copper and Bronze in Art is a scientific survey of the use and conservation of these metals in a wide range of artistic applications. The text is highly technical with many tables and charts, and the layout needed to convey information clearly and in a well-organized manner. The typeface Clifford was selected in part because the x-height-sized numerals (rather than old-style numerals) were useful in setting the text. Tables from a variety of sources were brought into a common system to afford cohesion. Color plates were grouped together for economy.
