Description

The goal of Greece! Rome! Monsters! is to introduce children—and grownups—to great mythological stories in an innovative, engaging way. The lively text and colorful illustrations give the book a fun, contemporary feeling. Each monster had to fit on a single spread, so the images vary depending on the length of each text passage. The typography responds actively to the informal tone of the book, but not in a distracting way. Handlettered titles add texture to the pages. A special illustration that includes all 20 monsters in a dense, rollicking scene was created for the endpapers.
