An artist who creates works from Pyrex, germs and myriad science materials came up with the idea of using a scientific notebook format to catalogue her art, appropriately reinforcing the nature of her media and subject matter. Since this catalogue was to be her first, the artist wanted to showcase almost all of her pieces, including color photos, black-and-white photos and illustrations. Working with a limited budget, a creative approach was devised that played with her signature. Essentially the entire French / English catalogue was produced in two-color, with the exception of her signature, which appears in four-color. Blue paper stock, often seen in scientific notebooks, drew attention to the English version included at the end of the document. A change in the design grid for the English section helped add a lexical look and feel.
