Scoop is one of a series of 18 paperback covers that I redesigned. Evelyn Waugh’s writing is witty, unexpected and reflects the age it was set in, but with dark, dark humor. My intention for all the covers was to tell a story—which would become apparent upon reading the books—using visual elements from that age (wallpapers, textures), along with a sense of humor, in a way that suggests there is something more than the obvious going on.
