Description

Scotlandfuturebog, printed in a limited edition of 1,500, is a monograph of the photographic work of Nicholas Kahn and Richard Selesnick. Their original prints, which document the lives of fictitious European bog dwellers, are several feet wide and printed on vellum. We had to conceive a way to present the work in a smaller format without losing the spirit of the originals, so we opted to include several spreads printed on vellum bound between the signatures. Proofreading the small amount of text in the book proved a challenge—the titles of the pieces are German nonsense words, such as Zeitfensterbohrloch (Timewindowsinkhole) and Stürmbockeber (Siegeengineboar).
