Around the World, 10th Stage, México contains selected works completed by French artist Hervé Di Rosa in Mexico. With total freedom to edit Di Rosa’s works, Trilce Ediciones has designed an edition with a craftsmanlike-feeling, featuring a gray silkscreened cover, a painting of the artist on the back cover and stucco interior paper. To bring Di Rosa’s vision to life and tell a story within the pages, the images have been framed irreverently, and fold-out pages display the artist’s sculptures, with close-up details on many pages. The text is in three languages, each language appearing in a different color and font. Additionally, a new typeface, “Hervébats,” was created based on Di Rosa’s work and is used to embellish certain texts. More than just a catalogue or book of artwork, it is a traveler’s journal that underscores the artist’s playful vision and preference for pop art.
