Description

Safe Food “is about the politics of food safety. It deserves an intelligent, inviting, attractive cover centered on food and, if at all possible, politics. It should not convey dread,” according to the author. We decided to treat the book like actual food and “package” it. The book makes one question whether that packed fruit is really “safe.” The advance copies we received were shrinkwrapped, so we asked the publisher to include a note with future shipments encouraging the stores to display the book with shrinkwrapping intact. We’ve seen a few displayed as such around town.
