Description

This catalogue documents the Walker’s four-year global initiative and multidisciplinary exhibition. An alternative to the traditional exhibition catalogue, this publication references the form and visual strategies of a research document by highlighting text passages and color-coding different segments of the book: essays light blue, conversations pink, writings pale yellow and artworks white. Selected writings are photocopied directly from their original sources and redacted, their illustrations “blacked out” for copyright purposes. Supplemental photography in the form of snapshots complements the book’s transient, humble aesthetic. The post-binding reinforces the utilitarian approach of a research document and allows the title to be edge-printed on the spine.
