Description

These two titles are part of a book series published in connection with the architects’ appointment as the Eliot Noyes Visiting Design Critics in Architecture at the Harvard Design School.

By using a single project, presenting it in context and exploring the process, the books

are meant to convey a sense of the architects’ larger practice, and where it fits in a larger architectural discourse.

The final design of the books themselves—in high modernist “Internationalism”—was achieved primarily through image editing and art direction rather than formal layout. However, the integration of invisible typographic detail, material selection, format, printing and finishing techniques lends a subtle richness to the series.
