The challenge was to use vellum paper and color in a way that is energetic, iridescent and lightly abstract. Bold colors were placed on the inside of the booklet, and white ink on the outside to subdue the color. Windows of images were then cut out from the white to reveal the color within. The resulting effect is a vibrant display of image, form, color and type. I am pleased with the sequence of the package and the progression of color—the way it begins with an opaque white cover, which slips off to reveal a creamy orange, then opens to a splash of solid blue and which is finally unfolded to full saturation.
