The purpose was to make Fortune 500 companies aware of Green Seal’s Environmental Partners Program, which gives participants information on environmentally preferable products and services.
The strategy was to create a direct mail vehicle that connected with the action of recycling. The colors were mandated by Green Seal’s logo (blue and green) plus black. The inks are soy-based. The paper—Mohawk Vellum Recycled—was also mandated, as it was the first paper awarded the Green Seal. The simple act of putting something in a recycling bin was a perfect example of how easy it is to become a Green Seal Environmental Partner.
