Description

Wilco is a band that hails from the Midwest, also the home of the Jackalope. Because of Wilco’s Midwestern roots and also its indebtedness to American roots music, a stars-and-stripes typeface and shooting targets were the obvious choices. The concert date was Valentine’s Day, which is why the target on the Jackalope is a heart instead of a bull’s-eye.

We believe this demonstrates excellence in music design because of its appropriate choice of imagery with respect to the band and its music. People also tell us that it looks cool.
