Description

This is a boxed set of singles and previously unreleased tracks from “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.” The five CD packages are reworked versions of individual CD singles that I designed over the course of about a year. Additional material was added along with a special booklet. This was originally conceived as a limited-edition gift for hard-core Smashing Pumpkins fans, a version of the 7-inch 45 rpm singles cases from the ’50s and ’60s , adapted for CDs. Going retro seems funny to me because most Pumpkins fans are too young to remember the original versions. A lot of work went into this package. It may look prefabricated, but it was totally custom designed and manufactured.
