“Soup” was Blind Melon’s second album, following their fist multi-platinum release. They have a large and avid fan base that collects single, imports, and just about anything the group endorses. After the cover image was determined, we thought about housing the CD and booklet in one of those classic protective menu covers you might find in a greasy spoon diner. We produced a special five-color CD label for the limited-edition version to give the fans added incentive to buy this version. Just a note: the man on the cover is the producer of the record and the soup itself is a prop.
