Description

Pell Mell is an instrumental rock band. “Interstate” is their first album for a major record label. Our goals for the graphic design were to be clear, direct, and smart (like the music) and to stand out from the sea of slick, obtuse record covers. For the imagery, we took our cues from the title, the hypnotic, driving music, and our fondness for American roadside vernacular.
