Description

The musicians of Jajouka have entranced everyone from the Beats to the Rolling Stones with their music. A cult collector’s item since its original release in 1971, “Brian Jones Presents the Pipes of Pan at Jajouka” was overdue for rerelease in CD format. In creating a deluxe CD reissue of the album, we at Point Music looked to a Moroccan-style travel diary as a way to organize all the rich visual, literary, and musical materials we had to work with. This format works well in personalizing something very different from our quotidian experience and allows listeners to create their own connection to the music.
