Description

I was working in Hong Kong when a new jazz band from Europe asked us to do a CD cover. Parts of the album had been recorded in a church in the Swiss Alps. We designed a booklet with a bible-like feeling, the ever-changing style of the typography inside the booklet reflecting the changing styles of the music. Since production is quite cheap in Hong Kong, we could afford to design a 40-page booklet, printed on bible print paper and still stay within the client’s budget. We used the transparency of the paper as a design element, always using both sides of the sheet to make up a whole image. We could even afford to attach a little fabric band as a bookmark.
