The photos were created for this CD package by Jean Baptiste Mondino and were so great that we fought to make a book of them.
David Byrne wanted photos to go with his CD, which was “raw” and stripped down, so I dreamed of having Jean Baptiste shoot photos revealing David in the most minute details abstractly and scientifically. To prepare for this design, we had to track down David Byrne’s X-rays and cell biology photos from around the world wherever he had had them done.
