Description

The inspiration for this CD package was the album title. The goal was for the theme/imagery not to be recognized as contrived symbols of traditional broadcasting icons but rather a mix of natural and manmade objects that broadcast and receive messages. An effort was made throughout to keep the viewer wondering about the various images.

We decided to use a clear tray to further simplify the cover image of a rooftop antenna in black and white against a backdrop of ultra Technicolor sky, which wrapped around the entire jewel box and added to the isolation of the antenna on the cover. Above this the band’s name was subdued with the same cloud texture; the title was featured only on the spine.
