Samsung is one of the world’s truly global companies, with business interests spanning ships to semiconductors in more than 66 countries. The calendar was devised to give employees and the global business community a broader perspective on Samsung’s vast scope, while providing information about Samsung products in a context other than an annual report or memo. The calendar honors the inventors, scientists, and thinkers whose achievements made the current line of products possible. Our design solution for the 1996 calendar, “Salute to Inventors,” captures the strategic intent of the company and underscores its human perspective.
