Written for Nike merchandisers, retailer, and sales representatives, the visual merchandising manual displays the elements of product presentation as both an on-site reference tool and a training resource (with presentation slides and removable pages for photocopying). The manual helps Nike maintain high standards of product presentation across many venues.
The highly visual process of merchandising drove the manual’s design. Its message relies on imagery and design elements more than on copy. Each layout incorporates merchandising principles (columns, balance, color)—an approach that reinforces the content of the manual. The result achieves the ultimate goal of inviting the understanding of merchandising through looking, not reading.
