Description

Alcatraz Island is visited by more than three million people each year. This guide bridges the gap between throw-away brochures and expensive souvenir books, providing visitors with enough visual information (including a bird’s-eye view of the island and cellhouse) for a self-guided tour. It also includes accurate, concise information and photographs that describe both the island’s colorful history and its role today.
