This project was a group effort between Marla, Allyn and me. We had a great time working and playing with every aspect of it, from sketches to production. We wanted the art and text to be wholly incorporated—a fun and unique balance of art, type and color. We toyed with manufacturing, trying out a variety of papers, case and jacket materials, but in the end we decided less was more and went with the simpler materials. The result is not only a beautiful book but also the memory of a great collaboration of editorial, illustration and design talent, coming together with a love of books and the inspiration to create something unique.
