MTV’s “Spring Break” packaging was created in the spirit of simplicity and double entendre. The bright background colors acted as dividers on the channel throughout the day. The chicks served the purpose of representing both springtime and the vernacular term for fine lookin’ ladies. Star chicks were accentuated with chaser lights as a nod to Las Vegas, the unexpected home of spring break that year.
