The goal of this series of ads was to evolve Target’s “Sign of the Times” branding campaign. We decided to take Target’s red-and-white world outside, adding blue sky and pool water. We needed to tie into the “Sign of the Times” theme with pictures, music and, of course, the bull’s-eye logo. We also had to make it fresh—this was our fourth execution in the campaign—and seasonally specific for spring.
