Seymour Chwast, Milton Glaser, New York, New York, 1960

Description

Political malfeasance was not an issue that every design studio addressed back then, but it was a burning one for Push Pin, especially during the 1960 election. This front page was an early 1900s text supporting “honest graft,” by George Washington Plunkitt. At that time, Chwast and Glaser saw little difference between Nixon and Kennedy and so produced a button that was a composite of both candidates.
