The November/December 2007 Believer is our annual Art Issue. A page of temporary tattoos by contemporary artists, including some featured or interviewed in the issue, is bound into the magazine in front of page 1. The cover has four elliptical die-cuts where Charles Burns’ portraits normally appear; Burns’ portraits are printed and positioned on the tattoo page so they appear through the holes on the cover.
