Description

“So Five Minutes Ago” is an MTV series about things that just went out of style, created by filmmaker/producer Christopher Wilcha. Since the show makes fun of things that are no longer “cool,” we had to figure out a way for the show itself to not become “un-cool”—at least not right away.

We created a family of charts and graphs that plot the subjective criteria of trendiness in seemingly un-trendy ways. As both the schedule and budget were extremely limited, this conceptual approach worked well since it relies on ideas and words, not production values.

Juror Notes

“As a spoof of PowerPoint graphics, it’s funny.”

“It has some good writing in it. It’s a smart set-up.”

“It’s our gentle nod toward putting some content into design projects.”
