Description

To help the president of The Apollo Theater Foundation explain to the board of directors his plan to create a new performing arts center, we produced a compelling presentation featuring an opening animation chronicling the theater’s rich history.

The design solution incorporated animated photos and music from the legendary entertainers who performed at the Apollo. These images, combined with architectural plans for the proposed center, were blended with a vertically ascending timeline to emphasize the venue’s cultural impact over the past 70 years. To reflect the modernization of the theater, we selected a contemporary color palette and font, as well as elegant geometric shapes.

Juror Notes

“It’s all about the music. The audio is what a lot of other animated projects are missing.”
