Burton Marmot Dealer Catalogue
Jager Di Paola Kemp Design, Burlington, Vermont, 1994
Description
In 1994 the snowboard market was flooded with "upstart" companies armed with the latest computer design tricks and type styles. The designers played up Burton's history of innovation and the company's unique geographical position in rural Vermont. Using hand-rendered type and visual references – from road trips to local flea markets, tourist traps, and deer camps superimposed on a faux riding pedigree – they created a funky, spontaneous home-grown catalogue that showcases an original, well-crafted, hard-core product.
