The George Gund Foundation 1999 annual report

Nesnadny + Schwartz, Cleveland, Ohio, 2000

Description

The George Gund Foundation needed a report that articulated its activities, achievements and goals by describing 1999 grant making to its various constituents. The report also needed to articulate the philosophy, funding priorities and program objectives of the foundation. The design approach centers on a powerful and compelling photo essay that symbolizes a major issue that has become a foundation priority: Cleveland’s urban landscape. The images that photographer Douglas Lucak has created using a simple pinhole camera reflect both the complexity and ambiguity of the foundation’s steady but vigorous relationship with the city’s diverse neighborhoods.
