2wice “Ice” issue

Pentagram, New York, New York, 2000

Description

This twice-yearly publication deals with the intersection of performing and visual arts. The “Ice” issue explored cryogenics, literary representations of ice, photographs of icebergs and the importance of ice in cuisine, as well as our mainstay of performance and choreography images. Metallic silver ink, holographic foil, snowflakes and letters with ice caps were all employed to confer the chilliness of the topic. Putting a dancer on an ice rink, painting another entirely in silver body makeup and getting a great ice sculptor involved were critical to the issue.
