Kathleen Schneider: I Could Make This More Accessible, But Once Again, I Don’t

Kathleen Schneider: I Could Make This More Accessible, But Once Again, I Don’t

Jager De Paola Kemp Design, Burlington, Vermont, 1996

Description

This poster, designed for our non-profit art gallery and exhibiting a solo show of artist Kathleen Schneider, features sculpture and drawings inspired by daily activities—cooking, combing hair, working in the studio, sleeping, reading. The authenticity of the work stems from simple, painful, wonderful, or commonplace things life’s minor and major events. Taking their cue from the artist’s approach, the posters are printed on wallpaper samples that honor the individuality of each piece, while enhancing the sense of everyday life.
