The Tangier Diaries, 1962–1979

Cadmus Editions, Belvedere Tiburon, California, 1998

Description

The Tangier Diaries, 1962–1979 is intended for an audience interested in contemporary literary culture. Given that this work is extracted from seventeen years of diary entries chronicling literary life in Tangier, Morocco, I wanted the presentation to appear informal—but within a tight format that would allow both a compact trade edition in wrappers and an elegant signed limited edition in boards. Excellence of design was, I believe, achieved by managing the stretch between a utilitarian trade edition and an elegant signed limited edition from the same set of printed sheets.
