The Strongest Thread

The Strongest Thread

Sagmeister INC, New York, New York, 2008

Description

When Levis asked us to design a poster for the 501, we simply took a picture of their jeans—but not before deconstructing them down to the individual threads and buttons, and incorporating “This is a pair of Levis, sewed with the strongest thread,” conveniently found on the inside pocket of the jeans.

Juror Notes

Terrific! Great idea; well executed. So expressive in spite of using a single element. A beautiful piece of persuasive art.
