Within the limitations of a printed publication, Below the Fold will explore a single topic through visual narrative and critical inquiry, examining ideas that are technically “below the fold” in an effort to reveal alternative ways of looking at the world we live in. This issue of Below the Fold explores the artifacts of modern anxiety, the emotional response to fear, the narrative arc of disaster, and the visual language of caution, prevention and security.
