Vespa 50 Poster
Milton Glaser Inc., New York, New York, 1996
Description
I suspect that the audience for this poster is anyone who will buy a Vespa, which suggests a relatively young audience. The poster celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of that company. I began the design with the initials themselves plus the number fifty, which employs the characteristic front wheel of the scooter. The blurred colored stripes in the center are supposed to abstractly convey the idea of motion or speed.
