1995 Recruitment Poster
Herman Miller Inc., Zeeland, Michigan, 1995
Description
Herman Miller has had a graphic design internship program for over 10 years. We send out a poster to about 60 schools to promote this opportunity to work in the “real world.” The year-long program introduces young designers to the realities of professional practice. We get their youthful enthusiasm.
The poster has to get attention on a very low budget. To make it easier for the students, there is a tear-off pad of application forms so that the poster won’t get stolen and so that they can have all the information on one piece of paper. As for the image: Some people say it’s an infinity symbol, others say it’s a beanie hat. You decide.
