End Fest Poster ’95
MTV Networks Creative Services, New York, New York, 1996
Description
Endfest is an annual concert put on by the alternative radio station in Seattle, KNDD, 107.7 The End, and it features a vast array of breakthrough musical acts. Targeting a core audience of young males, the poster served the dual purpose of being the concert’s main promotional element as well as the medium through which the station’s attitude and image were expressed. A photographer was used to create a work that defines the station’s unique identity as well as the rawness that attracts concertgoers and radio listeners. These powerful images also allowed The End, Endfest, and the alternative scene to be about more than merely music. They were able to create their own culture and a way of life.
