Heartport 1996 Annual Report
Bill Cahan & Associates, San Francisco, California, 1997
Description
Heartport is advancing the frontiers of cardiac surgery by developing systems that enable minimally invasive approaches to major heart surgery. The company’s port access systems allow surgeons to operate on the heart without needing to crack open the chest, as required in conventional heart surgery. The die-cut holes in the annual report are the exact size and approximate location of the company’s port access holes. The annual was designed to be a compelling snapshot of the advantages of port access over conventional heart surgery.
