America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction
Pentagram Design, New York, New York, 2004
Description
America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction is a timely, satirical look at the U.S. political process, created by the writers, producers and “correspondents” of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The designers collaborated with The Daily Show on the presentation of the material, designing the book to resemble a civics textbook that is packed with charts and graphs, including “Were you aware?” sidebars, a foldout chart of “The Shadow Government,” and a “Dress the Supreme Court” spread that features naked justices (which got the book banned from Wal-Mart).
