Burton “One Hit” promotional spot
Jager Di Paola Kemp Design, Burlington, Vermont, 2001
Description
The purpose of the “One Hit” spot was to capture a pure moment in snowboarding, the kind that seems to be getting lost in the mix of “extreme” events and broadcast portrayal of youth indy sports. Burton Snowboards is a premier brand and a dedicated veteran in protecting the true soul of snowboarding. We wanted to keep it simple and true. The largest obstacles were the weather, timing and budgetary limitations. We were in our first days of production and the budget needed to be cut in half to reallocate funds elsewhere. We took a deep breath and dropped in anyway.
Juror Notes
“I liked the mountain spot. I love the beautiful lockup and the fact that the spot was silent for a long time.”
