Maison Théâtre Platform
lg2boutique, Montreal, Quebec, 2008
Description
Maison Théâtre puts on plays conceived and performed by professionals, for 2—17 year—olds. Adults are the primary influencers in the decision-making process, though, and they also are to have a good time while accompanying their children. We had to give the company a recognizable, clear and desirable identity in the cultural family entertainment world – and to underpin this with a simple descriptor that fostered immediate understanding of their mandate: More family, more professional, more entertaining, easily remembered.
The Maison Théâtre project is strongly inspired by the playful, colorful world of children. The logo is an abstract representation of two spotlights interlocking, creating a new, naive geometric form. The two fonts, Marie Script and Tommy Bold, were created to add a childlike look.
Juror Notes
Simple, appropriate, fun. Delightful job in two colors. Used the various parts of the logo very well. Never too young to have something sophisticated.
