Artwalk NY Poster
Studio Morris, New York, New York, 1995
Description
Project description: Communication campaign to promote Artwalk. A day when artists in New York open their studios to walking tours as a benefit for The Coalition for the Homeless.
Objectives: Introduce concept to New Yorkers via posters, brochures, advertisements, and explain how the tours work.
Our design is a unique solution for this objective: The logo is very rough and is derived from the “streets”. This gritty logo is placed over a diffused rose which is a traditional metaphor for beauty. The stark contrast between the juxtaposed images gives all of the communications their unique and arresting character.
